How often is Reagan’s Honey harvested?

We typically harvest in the Summer once our bees have enough surplus honey to spare.

How much does the apiary tour cost?
​
US $65 per person.

What are the apiary tour times?
​
Tour times are 9am daily.

Where does the apiary tour start?
​
Meeting locations are confirmed at least 24 hours prior to your tour date.

How long is the apiary tour?
​
Tours are approximately 1.5 hours long.

What is the minimum age for the apiary tour?
​
Participants must be at least 10 years of age. Persons 10-17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What is the maximum number of persons allowed on the apiary tour?
​
We limit the tour size to 6 persons in order to provide an intimate and enriched experience. Private tours of larger groups may be arranged.

How should I dress for the apiary tour?
​
Comfortable light clothing, closed toe shoes and socks. T-shirt and shorts or swimwear is ideal. Our bee suits are ventilated for comfort.

Will I get stung?
​
It’s highly unlikely. While our bee suits provide outstanding protection, we cannot guarantee that they are sting proof. Our bee suits offer triple layer ventilated protection, which prevents bees from reaching you with their stinger. You win and the bees are saved! – Honey bees die after they sting.

Are the bees really dying?
​
Yes! Honey bees all over the world are being threatened by development, natural habitat destruction and exposure to toxic pesticides.

What can I do to help save the bees?

Become a beekeeper. Our apiary tour is an awesome way to see if keeping bees is for you. Plant a pollinator friendly garden with a diverse array of nectar and pollen rich flowers.
